چکیده

The results of vegetation monitoring from 1999 to 2020 on 12 plots laid out in different types communities Cape Bolvansky Nos the northwest Bolshezemelskaya tundra are presented (Fig. 1). area is located border between southern and typical subzones.
On five long-term with clay-loam patches bare ground sparse shrubby willowsedge-dwarf shrub-moss were formed. They belong zonal ass. Plot M6 has a 2-element horizontal structure: large loam (3.04.5 m long, 1.01.5 cm wide) elongated along slope alternate flat areas turf them, dominated by dwarf shrubs Dryas octopetala subsp. subincisa Salix reticulata mosses Aulacomnium turgidum, Hylocomium splendens, Tomentypnum nitens; rims absent. lanata grows groups shallow depressions mosses. Plots M5, M9, M11 M12 occupy lower parts hill slopes deluvial plumes; 3-element structure rounded or oval (1.5-3.0 (up 5.0) diameter) surrounded rims, such ring structures separated troughswith hygrophilous (Aulacomnium palustre, Ptilidium ciliare, Sphagnum spp.), where shrub willows (mainly glauca) grow. well formed usually covered (Arctous alpina, subincisa, Empetrum hermaphroditum, reticulata), sedge Carex bigelowii arctisibirica Dicranum elongatum, Rhytidium rugosum).

Long-term studies of vegetation dynamics.

By integrating a wide range of experimental, comparative, and theoretical approaches, ecologists are starting to gain a detailed understanding of the long-term dynamics of vegetation. We explore how patterns of variation in demographic traits among species have provided insight into the processes that structure plant communities. We find a common set of mechanisms, derived from ecological and e...

Concerted changes in tropical forest structure and dynamics: evidence from 50 South American long-term plots.

Several widespread changes in the ecology of old-growth tropical forests have recently been documented for the late twentieth century, in particular an increase in stem turnover (pan-tropical), and an increase in above-ground biomass (neotropical). Whether these changes are synchronous and whether changes in growth are also occurring is not known. We analysed stand-level changes within 50 long-...

Long-Term Variability in Bioassessments: A Twenty-Year Study from Two Northern California Streams

Long-term variability of bioassessments has not been well evaluated. We analyzed a 20-year data set (1984-2003) from four sites in two northern California streams to examine the variability of bioassessment indices (two multivariate RIVPACS-type O/E scores and one multimetric index of biotic integrity, IBI), as well as eight metrics. All sites were sampled in spring; one site was also sampled i...
